BLAKE J. ELLIOTT, PE
Associate Engineer
Blake Elliott has over 25 years in the industry and has one of the longest tenures at LGC Geotechnical. Blake’s path to geotechnical consulting started with digging trenches and constructing drainage systems as a teenager in the summertime. This experience led Blake to get a geological engineering degree which gave him a strong background in both the geological side and engineering side to land development projects. After spending several years in the field as a field technician, and then as a site geologist, Blake transitioned into an engineering role.
In addition to a rewarding professional career, Blake frequently embarks on a variety of outdoor adventures. Rock climbing, mountaineering, canyoneering and backpacking have taken him to the summits of many notable peaks as well as the bottoms of some of the most remote canyons. He also enjoys trips in which he gets to mountain bike, snowboard, white water raft, fish and camp. Being out in nature balances out the hours spent in the office meeting the needs of a demanding industry.
Blake has managed many projects including hillside grading, redevelopment sites, flat land grading and distressed properties. Blake’s projects have included construction of buttresses, mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, tieback walls, nail walls, deep foundations and geogrid reinforced slopes.
