Barry Graham’s love for rocks and adventure began at an early age camping with family and friends, sparking a career that is spanned over 19 years in the industry. He has been a vital part of the company from its inception, bringing his geologic expertise as well as his experience working for both general and electrical contractors.

Barry has worked in residential, commercial, and industrial development. He has been directly involved in projects that have included major hillside grading, fault studies, and landslide mitigation, in addition to many small to large-scale geologic investigations. Barry plays a vital role in ensuring that geological considerations align practically and seamlessly with project engineering goals. He is known for his pragmatic problem-solving skills during geologic assessments and grading operations, as well as competently tackling equipment-related challenges in the field. His commitment to delivering accurate and actionable recommendations has contributed to the success of LGC Geotechnical, Inc.

Barry enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three children. When weekends are not spent in the joyful chaos of getting kids to various sporting events, he enjoys undertaking major home improvement projects, mountain biking or running on occasion, and traveling with the family. Summer weekends are often spent wake boarding and water skiing on the Colorado River.

Barry began his professional geologic career at the University of California, Santa Barbara’s Educational Multimedia Visualization Center where he helped develop digital models and animations of geologic processes, showcasing his innovative approach to understanding geology. Later, Barry started at LGC Geotechnical as a staff geologist, spending several years in the field as both geologist and field technician, later spending time running the soils laboratory. He is directly responsible for the company’s adoption of newer digital field technology, bringing efficient communication and productivity between field and office personnel, and clients.
