Winner of the Large Private Project: Saddleback Place by Trumark, Mission Viejo, CA
LGC Geotechnical, Inc. completed one of its most complex projects: a 91-unit residential development in Mission Viejo on a steep, landslide-prone hillside once considered unbuildable. Despite major challenges—including weak geology and protecting an existing Edison Tower—LGC Geotechnical applied innovative solutions consisting of caissons, tiebacks, buttresses, and retaining walls, along with careful monitoring and construction sequencing, to successfully deliver the project.

LGC Geotechnical, Inc. (LGC Geotechnical) is a Southern California based geotechnical consulting firm with its office located in San Clemente, California.
Incorporated in 2010, LGC Geotechnical focuses on providing professional geotechnical services throughout Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside & San Diego County. The firm provides quality, full service geotechnical services to clients, which include public agencies, local cities, residential and commercial developers, architects, insurance companies, utility companies, and homebuilders. LGC Geotechnical employs a full-time staff of over 40, including highly educated and licensed professionals such as registered geotechnical engineers (GE) and certified engineering geologists (CEG). Together they combine their technical knowledge and wide-ranging field experience to provide effective geotechnical engineering solutions to complex geologic problems.
